Core Increases Heat Rejection Portfolio

Core Air Conditioning are proud to announce that they have increased their heat rejection portfolio with LU-VE CONTARDO manufacturers of air cooled condensers and dry air coolers (with optional water spray system / dry and spray system) and the distribution into the Irish market of JACIR AIR TRAITEMENT manufactured open and closed circuit and hybrid type cooling towers for both HVAC and process applications.  They have very unique solutions for cooling heavy duty process waters (up to 400PPM suspended solids) from their X-Stream range of equipment.

Both of these manufacturers are leaders within their appropriate fields with a unique product range which promotes energy efficiency and low noise, two of Ireland’s most common project requirements, as standard offerings.

New Improved LU-VE Products

Core Air Conditioning's new product portfolio of dry air coolers and air cooled condensers manufactured by LU-VE Contardo was released at the recent Mostra Convegno Expocomfort in Milan encompassing a new range of innovative products.

NEW XDHV AND XDHL SINGLE-ROW AIR COOLED CONDENSERS AND DRY COOLERS

The new XDHV and XDHL ranges exploit the latest advances in technology, already successfully applied to the most recently developed LU-VE products. They replace the current SDHV and SDHL ranges and have the following features:
• new, even more efficient, grooved tubes
• greater number of available solutions
• new energy-saving, high performance fans
• new model elongated to1250mm
• new design: really attractive-looking and very robust.

The result of this evolution, apart from a significant improvement in energy efficiency, guarantees:
• up to more than 30% increase in capacity
• up to 8 dB(A) decrease in sound level.

The new XDHV and XDHL ranges will be immediately available also in versions with Dry & Spray and Water Spray System.

NEW MEGA GIANT XXLD DRY COOLERS

The construction concept used in the Big Giant series (EHLD and EHVD) is evolving further, giving birth to the Mega Giant range: the most powerful on the market.

The brand-new Mega Giants are equipped with two exclusive “V” exchangers of dimensions which have never been undertaken until now. The new XXLD have grown in height compared to the current ones, but have kept within the same average footprint area. They represent the highest level of leading-edge technology and have the added advantage of supplying extra choice within a range which is the most extensive on the market.

The distinctive features of the Mega Giant range are:
• maximum capacity up to 2.3 MW;
• maximization of the ratio of power to surface area (KW/m2);
• maximum solidity and reliability with the patented Smart System®.

The entire Mega Giant range is already available in versions with Dry & Spray and Water Spray System.

NEW ACT (ACTIVE CONTROL TECHNOLOGY) FAN SPEED CONTROLLERS

The new generation of ACT speed controllers has been developed to ensure big energy savings (up to 30%) and sound levels that comply with the severest regulations.

Through the use of new, exclusive LU-VE technology, the condensation/cooling module has an active effect on the process of optimizing the performance of the whole unit. It also makes it easy to gather and display operational data.

Thanks to closed loop PID logic, the new ACT controllers can in fact control the condenser/chiller to the lowest condensation temperature accepted by the plant. This results in a significant reduction in energy absorbed by the compressors.

The new ACT controllers which guide the fans in the search for the ideal rotation speed are all equipped with an integrated Modbus communication system which enables the operational state of the installation to be read and monitored in real time.

Carrier Introduces New Aquasnap® Air-Cooled Chillers with Non-Ozone Depleting Puron® Refrigerant

Core Air Conditioning, who are Carrier agents for Ireland, would like to announce the release of the new Carrier Aquasnap chillers.

Carrier Corp., a world leader in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) industry, introduces Aquasnap® 30RB/30RQ air-cooled liquid chillers and heat pumps, with cooling capacities ranging from 17kW to 160kW, increased energy efficiency versus previous models, non-ozone depleting Puron® refrigerant, graphical user interface, and other value-added features. The enhancements are largely based on customer feedback, underscoring Carrier’s commitment to customer satisfaction. Carrier is a business unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

In 1997, Carrier created what became a leading product in the chiller and heat pump market below 200kW with the launch of the 30RA/RH Aquasnap air-cooled chiller line. Today, Carrier expands upon this success with its next generation of Aquasnap 30RB/30RQ air-cooled scroll chillers and heat pumps.  Continuing Carrier’s leadership in non-ozone depleting systems, the Aquasnap 30RB/30RQ line uses Puron refrigerant. Eurovent-certified Class A for the 17-33kW models and Class C and B for the 40-160kW units, the new chillers provide approximately 17% to 20% energy savings compared to previous models through reduced electricity use.

“The 17kW to 160kW Aquasnap chillers will be equipped with a new graphical user interface that will allow users to display the operating parameters of the unit, including the value of the water flow rate,” stated Anthony Ornatsky, product manager, small air-cooled chillers, Carrier Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).  “The interface is simple to operate and can be installed in the building remotely from the chiller.”

The new Aquasnap air-cooled chillers offer other innovative features as well.  Factory installed hydronics provide quick installation and simplify commissioning. The hydronic module is also available in a variable water flow version that auto-adapts to a building’s water demand. With a low profile and small footprint, the Aquasnap chiller can be installed virtually anywhere.

“Carrier has been listening to its customer requests for enhancements to the Aquasnap chillers below 200kW,” stated David Appel, president, Carrier HVAC EMEA.  “We maintained key features like the compact form from the previous generation while offering new innovative components that reflect Carrier’s leadership in HVAC system design.”

Aquasnap chillers will be manufactured at two Carrier factories located in France and Italy and will be distributed in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

For further information on these chillers please contact the Core Air Conditioning sales department.

Carrier’s Energy Efficient Fan Coil Units

In keeping with the high profile energy efficiency requirements, Carrier has launched a “Low Energy Consumption” range of waterside control ductable fan coil units.

These fan coil units reduce the electrical consumption by 50% to 75% which make it easier to meet new energy regulations within the building energy management.

The LEC motor has a variable speed fan to ensure minimised noise levels.  With the NTC controller the maximum fan speed can be set to allow further sound level management.

LEC motors use brushless technology to offer lower fan motor temperature for extended operating life.
